Hot Springs Farmers Market

One of the advantages of living in Hot Springs is the availability of fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, meat and chicken and much more at the Farmers Market. The Market is open all year on Saturday mornings near Historic Downtown Hot Springs. In the summer we have the added advantage of the market on Tuesday nights.
Not only is the home-grown produce healthy, but just going down to the Farmers Market to shop is lots of fun. The vendors are hard-working Arkansans who know their products and enjoy talking with the customers and answering questions. They’re eager to share their knowledge and will usually have a good recipe to share for preparing their produce. Besides vegetables and fruit, customers will find local honey, jams and jellies, fresh baked bread and sweets, soaps and lotions, jewelry, t-shirts, fresh herbs, flowers, eggs, knife sharpening and much more.
Also, on Saturday and most Tuesday nights a local musician or group is entertaining visitors at the Market while they shop. An added bonus to all the fun is the health benefit from eating local produce; some of it is organically grown. Beef, pork and chicken are available and grown on local Arkansas farms, and the difference in taste is amazing.
The Market started in the mid1970s, but the location of the modern-day Market began in 1995 near the Transportation Depot in Historic Downtown at Orange and Broadway Streets. In 2006 Hot Springs received a grant along with additional donations, to build the open-air pavilion, which is now home of the Hot Springs Farmers Market. It has since become a leading farmers market receiving state and national recognition. It incorporates landscaping by the local master gardeners and a state of the art Cairn Fountain designed by Bennett Brothers Stone. For more information go online to www.hotspringsfarmersmarket.com.

Hot Springs has a great place to shop and visit at the Farmers Market. It is such a treasured asset to our community. Another community to visit in Hot Springs is Diamondhead Resort Community. The people who live in Diamondhead enjoy the amenities of Lake Catherine, a great golf course affordably priced, an Olympic-size swimming pool, tennis courts, children’s playground and the Nineteenth Hole, a great place to grab a bite to eat and visit with neighbors. We’d love to show you around and answer any questions about the great life-style at Diamondhead. Give us a call at 501.520.9201 or 501.262.9310 and we’ll schedule a tour for you and your family. Just like the Hot Springs Farmers Market, Diamondhead has lots of friendly people eager to help out their neighbors.
